πͺWhat is WebBites?
A place to save anything β websites, images, movies, games, notes β and find it again without doing the filing yourself. Save with one click and WebBites tags and organises it using AI, then searches by title, colour, tags and even the text on the page.
π±Which platforms does it run on?
The web app, native apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Vision Pro, Apple TV and Apple Watch, and a browser extension for saving from wherever you are. Everything syncs through your account.
π€Do I need an account to use the apps?
No. The apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Vision Pro work signed out, against a library kept on your own device, and nothing you save in that mode is sent to us. Sync, sharing, semantic search and the cloud features need an account, and you can switch the intelligence features to on-device models in Settings if you want to keep them local too. The details are in the
Privacy Policy Β§2.
πI forgot my password
Use
the reset page or the "Forgot password" link on the sign-in screen. The email arrives from our mail provider β check spam if it doesn't. If you signed in with Apple there is no password to reset: use the Apple button again.
βοΈMy bookmarks aren't syncing
Check you're signed into the same account on both devices, then pull to refresh. A save made while offline sits in a queue and flushes when the network returns β the app shows those on the "Waiting to save" screen under Settings β Data & Offline. If something is stuck there for more than a few minutes with a working connection, email us.
π§©The extension isn't saving
The extension saves through your signed-in session, so open the web app once and sign in, then try again. On Safari, extensions also need to be enabled and granted permission for the site you're on, in Safari β Settings β Extensions.
πΌοΈA page saved badly β no image, wrong title, no article text
Some sites block automated fetching, render everything in JavaScript, or sit behind a paywall or a login. In those cases we save what we can reach. Editing the title, description or image on the bite fixes it for good. Send us the URL if a site you care about consistently comes out wrong β a lot of them we can fix individually.
π¦Can I export or import my bookmarks?
Both. Settings β Export, on any platform, gives you your library in a portable file, on any plan, at any time. To bring browser bookmarks in, follow the
import guide.
π³What does it cost?
There's a free plan, and paid plans for more bookmarks and the advanced features. The current plans and prices are on the
pricing section of the home page.
πHow do I cancel or change my plan?
Cancel where you subscribed. If you subscribed on the web or on the Mac, it's Settings β Subscription, which opens the billing portal. If you subscribed through the App Store, it's in your Apple subscription settings on your device (Settings β your name β Subscriptions), because Apple bills those directly. You keep paid features until the end of the period you've paid for.
πIs my data private?
Your bookmarks are yours. We don't sell your data, and the apps can run entirely on-device if you never sign in. What we store, why, and for how long is spelled out in the
Privacy Policy.
ποΈHow do I delete my account?
Settings β Delete account, and confirm. It deletes your bookmarks, files and subscription along with it, and it is not reversible β so export first if you want a copy. No email to us is needed, and we don't put a retention offer in the way.
π οΈIs there an API?
Yes β keys, endpoints and rate limits are on the
developer page, with the full OpenAPI reference linked from it.
